My name is Amanda Henry, today I am a manager in Software Development for Intact, a home that has seen me grow for 13 years now. I’m known for embracing new challenges, building amazing relationships, and most importantly caring for people.
I joined the IT family at Intact when I was 18 years old as a summer student. From there, I navigated my way in multiple teams and multiple roles to reach my first management position in software development at the age of 28, three years ago.
Early in life I faced varying complex social situations, I had to learn to use my internal compass, surround myself with people who could help me and most of all trust myself. Today my ease of navigating towards change, my strength in communication and the large network of contacts that I built, allows me to attack any challenge and help people around me to see change on a positive axis. People choose to listen to me because I approach them with confidence and ease, without judgment and I strive to bring out the same in them. Due to my path in life and experiences, I’ve come to believe we must try to always move forward and learn from mistakes. I’ve been fortunate enough to work in the right environment the supports that outlook. And I endeavour to inspire people who seeks to embrace the blur of life.
I grew up in the 90’s, I am a BSB fan all the way 😊

Embrace the Blur
Going out of our comfort zone, we develop new skills, but what happens then?
We have more questions than answers, we enter the zone of the unknown: I call it the blur.
With the combination of your internal resiliency and mindset, you can work on what I call embracing the blur.
